Between The Stars: Idea Introduction and Character Roundup (MILD SPOILERS)

Alright, here we go! The spiel below is what would be the blurb on the back cover if this was an actual book. Which it hopefully will be at some point, but for now I'm posting it here.

When a spaceship mechanic’s search for her missing sister lands her in the midst of a Biblical war raging across the universe, she has to grapple with space pirates, ancient demons and her own trauma to save the people she loves.

The year is 5027, and the only bibles left are in intergalactic museums. Which is a shame, because the next messiah is here and she could definitely use a guidebook. Meet Azrea Shore: a washed-up twenty-something who’s much more concerned with finding her missing sister than with saving the Universe. But when she finds out her sister was kidnapped by the Devil, it looks like she’ll have to do both. That would be hard enough even with a crack team.

All Azrea’s got is a fashionista angel, two alien smugglers in a beat-up spaceship, and a weirdly naive soldier who happens to be her sister’s girlfriend. Technically her sister too, but only if they can actually rescue her. This is going to take a miracle, and she’s still learning how to use those.

The bottom row characters don't appear in the first chapter, but you'll meet them fairly soon.

From left to right we have Zizi (fashionista angel from the blurb), then Ro and Chaska, Azrea's longtime besties who are definitely not mercenaries and smugglers, who told you that?
